YAMASHITA TOMOHISA-talk about the resignation from NEWS
actor / singer Yamashita Tomohisa (Yamapi) held a press conference to commemorate the first day of filming his latest drama " Saikou no Jinsei no Owarikata~Ending Planner~" on 7 December 2011.
During the event, the first time he spoke publicly about his resignation from the NEWS
Yamapi announced his resignation along with Ryo Nishikindo in October 2011.Yamapi wants to focus more on solo singing career than the group NEWS.
"There are many things that happened in me, and it made me think as a 25-year-old man" he said
"there's a difference between NEWS's color and my color.And it is difficult to divide time between NEWS's activities and my activities.live only once, so I want to enjoy my life with a solo career. You will not be able to do things according to your way when there is in a group,because it will cause problems for others.But if you own, then it will be your responsibility. so you can try something else without worrying".
in fact he had planned out of the NEWS in June. but it was canceled. because he still wanted to do the best thing before leaving NEWS.
actually a lot of artists that came out of his group and began his solo career. For example Jin Akanishi,that out of the group KAT-TUN in July 2010.
after leaving the NEWS, Yamapi more reading books.I want to play a lot of movies and drama, although not as major a role.And I wanted to be closer to my fans through my solo concert next year."
